イエス・キリストはおっしゃった。
「あなた方の誰が、自分の子供がパンを求める時に石を与えるだろうか」

すると、ﾆｭｰｼﾞｰﾗﾝﾄﾞの子供はこう答えた。
「パンを求めたのに、日本人は千羽鶴を与えてきました」

それを聞いた日本人はこう答えた。
「感謝の心を求めたのに、ﾆｭｰｼﾞｰﾗﾝﾄﾞの子どもたちは私たちに何も与えてはくれませんでした」

そして、イエスは静かに語り始めた。
「今回、ﾆｭｰｼﾞｰﾗﾝﾄﾞの子供たちが感謝してくれなかったからといって
あなた方が送った千羽鶴は無駄ではないのです。
近い将来、必ず日本で大地震が発生します。
その時、世界各国からたくさんの思いが詰まった千羽鶴が日本に送られてくるでしょう」

それを聞いた日本人は涙を流しながらイエスの手を握りしめた。”
